Op Art without sex

Simple op art illustration Simple op art illustration

Op art is the shorter form of optical art. Although this visual art is really appropriate to present sexuality, it is very seldom, why? First of all, op art tends to be abstract, its goals for the viewer are the impression is given of movement, hidden images, flashing and vibration, patterns, or alternatively, of swelling or warping (Wikipedia). So the artists don't want to disturb their audience enjoying the optical effects. But there are some exceptions, the most famous is Victor Vasarely and his zebras. These images are maybe the earliest examples of this genre, so there is nothing against figurative op art.

Zebras look like horses designed by an op art artist. And a close-up photo of two zebras in a romantic situation is a masterpiece. This was the idea behind Vasarely's images too. Just take a look on the pictures, and you will feel the erotic emission. But if it's not enough, let's change the zebras to a wonderful girl and a handsome guy...
